Privacy
How this website and the courses we host handle personal information under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020.
This website
This website does not set cookies or run analytics. It does not load third-party services until you choose to use a feature that needs one.
Vercel hosts the website and keeps short technical logs, such as IP addresses, to operate and secure it.
The booking calendar is provided by a separate service. It loads only after you choose to book, and that provider's privacy terms then apply.
When you contact us
If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply and, if you go ahead, work with you. Only we read enquiries.
We do not add your details to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share them.
Learner information on courses we host
The organisation selling or assigning a course is responsible for collecting learner information. We hold that information on its behalf under our agreement and use it to run the course.
Learner records for new courses are held in Sydney using Vercel and Supabase. Under the Privacy Act 2020, a cloud host acting for an organisation is not a disclosure overseas.
People enrolled by an employer are told in their invitation email that their details have been collected.
Learners pay through the organisation's Stripe account. Stripe processes the card details, which we do not see.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information held about you and request a correction. For course records, contact the organisation running the course or contact us and we'll pass on your request.
To make a request or raise a concern, email hamish@novulearning.com. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you are not satisfied with the response.
Tell us about your course.
Tell us what you teach and who takes it. We'll give you a straight answer on whether an online version is worth building.
